GIVEN that I had a Sunday off last weekend, I went for a pint with a good friend of mine, Tadg Collins, where naturally the discussion was dominated by hurling, particularly the Munster final.

Tadg asked if I thought that John Kiely would do what he and his players would surely be tempted to do – give Cork an even bigger hammering than they did in the round robin three weeks ago with the bigger picture in mind of trying to psychologically damage Cork even more, and derail them for later in the summer.
