Harte’s pub in main street Gort is often a favourite stop-off for Clare hurling supporters but not too many will be docking off there this week to hop off Josie en route to the Galway Races in Ballybrit.

Galway were the better team. They were more fired up. They wanted it that bit more. Clare were flat, especially in the first half. They did lift their performance in the second half but the damage was done by that stage and Clare were always chasing the match.
