Mullins, O’Donovan take the features

Christy Mullins and James O’Donovan won the two feature scores at the Dingle Cliff and Coastal Rescue benefit on the Ballydavid Road near Dingle.

Mullins beat Thomas Mackle by over a bowl in the afternoon. Mackle started with two poor shots, leaving him almost a bowl behind. Mullins raised the bowl with his next but Mackle brought the lead under a bowl again with his fifth. A big sixth from Mullins pushed him a bowl clear. Mackle rallied with two good throws in succession to bring the lead under a bowl again.

Mullins got a brilliant 10th shot which restored his bowl of odds. He dominated the rest of the score, coming close to the line in four.
