Bohane tames Twohig to close in on King of the Roads spot

Michael Bohane bounced back from his Flor Crowley Cup defeat with an impressive win over Gavin Twohig in the Jim O’Driscoll Cup at Ballincurrig.

He is now just one score, against PJ Cooney, away from the King and Queen of the Roads weekend.

Twohig was too low on the left with his opener, an issue that plagued his day. Bohane beat it well, but Twohig kept in touch to the creamery thanks to good second and fourth shots. The score turned dramatically when Bohane went well past the no-play line with a brilliant fifth. Twohig took three throws to cover the same distance and was two shots behind there.
