‘A chance is only that — it must be taken’

It’s not quite ‘now-or-never’ in the All-Ireland SHC replay against Cork this Saturday afternoon for Clare selector Louis Mulqueen – his young team are going to be around for quite some time yet.

It is about ‘now’, however, about grabbing this opportunity with both hands because ultra-talented or not, at this level there are no guarantees that you’ll be back in this position again anytime soon.

“Nothing ‘happens’ until you win. If they could win the All-Ireland we might be talking about a golden era but they still have to make the breakthrough and the quicker they make that breakthrough the better,” he argues.
