Another miracle but no surprise — this is Munster

They’re wrong when they say your career should be measured on medals.

If we were to go with “their” prevailing wisdom, Munster and Paul O’Connell’s heroics in The Stoop last Sunday soon probably won’t be worth a hill of beans, just as Munster’s terrific win in Welford Road 10 years ago against Leicester was ultimately worthless, the team knocked out in the very next round.

But as we said at the outset, “they” are wrong. Days like last Sunday — and that Sunday in Welford Road — are what have made this Munster team and this storyline so remarkable, endurable — and consistent.
