Murray returns to bolster Leesiders

The Cambridge-born defender will be unveiled as manager Tommy Dunne’s latest signing at Turner’s Cross today, having been let go by Shamrock Rovers after enjoying two seasons of huge success as club captain with the Hoops.

Murray rejoins a Cork side which is back in the Airtricity League Premier Division as First Division champions, the 29-year-old centre-half’s homecoming a reminder to the faithful of City’s glory years when he was skipper of the celebrated team which won the league title in 2005 and the FAI Cup two years later.
