Mourinho masterstroke breaks hearts of heroic Hercules

THE minnows of Spanish football generally know their place, but for a while on Saturday it seemed as if Hercules might really live up to their name.

The team from Alicante have spent most of their history in the lower divisions, and have only just returned to the top flight after a 13-year absence.

Their one slightly odd claim to fame is that in the season they were relegated they managed to beat Barcelona home and away.
