In Nemo Rangers they set themselves higher standards and strive to keep matching them year in year out. Sweeping up four titles in-a-row between 2005 and 2008 clearly has not sated their appetite and they’ve offered a powerful response to any suggestions that they were on the decline when crashing out in last season’s quarter-final.

Their achievements ensured they were a marvellous club well before yesterday afternoon in Páirc Ui Chaoimh. Victory over St Finbarr’s merely offered further proof of that.
