LEADING owner P.J. Fahy suffered a double blow this week as two of his outstanding trackers have been struck by injury that will force them to miss major engagements.

Fahy’s crack trackers suffer injury blows

Tyrur Dylan, one of the leading fancies for the College Causeway/Killahan Phanter Easter Cup, got off his bench on Sunday morning on three legs and faces an eight week lay-off. Thus he will miss the semi-final at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night and his owner is hopeful the dog will be back to contest the Irish Derby.

Then on Monday Fahy’s major English Derby hope Tyrur Lohan sustained a nasty injury in a trial around Nottingham and has been ruled out of the Wimbledon classic. Said Fahyyesterday: “Dylan has monkey muscle and shoulder ligament injuries and Lohan injured his foot when coming out of traps in the trial. Both dogs will be out for up to eight weeks and I am hoping they will be back for the Irish Derby.
