FIFA allow a tournament to continue despite a real threat of players being killed, yet in Britain games are postponed because of a perceived threat of spectators slipping over outside the ground. The world has well and truly gone mad.
About the same odds as I'd give you for Alex Young leading the Toffees to another title. Having recently done a Ronaldo - or was it a Drogba? - on an icy footpath myself (and, before you ask, no, it's not on Youtube), I have some sympathy for the nervous authorities across the way. On the other hand, you'd miss the scenes from yesteryear of white pitches, snow banked up against the hoardings, the bright orange ball, jumpers for goalposts...ok, I'll stop now.
