Kings can put rivals to the sword

THE KINGS SWORD, trained by former Kilkenny hurler, Kieran Purcell, can land the nap in the 20-runner Christmas Vouchers Maiden Hurdle at Gowran Park this afternoon.

A tough sort at his best when allowed bowl along near the front, the selection made all the running to win a bumper at Thurles.
