Walsh and Martin the perfect alliance

RUBY WALSH, one of the greatest big-race jockeys of all time, did it again at Listowel yesterday when driving Tony Martin’s Northern Alliance to victory in the Guinness Kerry National.

For Walsh it was a fourth success in the major treat of the week at the seven-day extravaganza to go with Banasan, Euro Leader and Bothar Na.

Reported Walsh: “I’ve enjoyed a lot of of luck in this race. He was a bit keen in the first mile, but jumped great.
