Time to make most of easier assignment

TOM Mullins’ Time Electric can land the nap in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Novice Hurdle at Killarney this evening (meeting subject to 7.30am inspection).

Time to make most of easier assignment

He is greatly favoured by the conditions of the contest and has between 8lbs and 19lbs in hand of his rivals.

The seven-year-old’s latest appearance was in the Galway Hurdle, when little went right and he could never get competitive.

He was hampered at the second flight and soon shuffled back towards the rear. Time Electric did, however, stay on quite nicely from the two out to eventually finish fifth behind Bahrain Storm.

That followed on a decent effort on the flat at Leopardstown when, returning from a break, the selection finished strongly to take third behind Drive Time and Blackstairmountain, both of those horses going on to win next time.

The progressive Dual Gales, who battled powerfully to beat Glenstal Abbey at Galway, is rated the main danger.

Mullins is fancied to complete a double with Fosters Cross in the SouthWestern Power Services Beginners Chase.

A decent enough sort over flights, this may well be the true calling for the son of Dr Massini.

Like Time Electric, he too ran in the Galway Hurdle and was in second spot when falling at the last.

Suprise Vendor can provide the answer to the Kelly Foley and Co three-year-old Hurdle. Leslie Young’s charge went in at the first time of asking over jumps when scoring by three lengths at Roscommon and had subsequent Tramore winner Law Officer, who now renews rivalry, 23 lengths behind in sixth spot.
