goings on throughout the world of football. You may agrewith him or then again

you may not. This week For the good of football its must be Barcelona; Tragic

to see Newcastle go down; Freddie Shepherd wants to buy , Barton and Nolan are

mercenaries; Munster fans go into hibernation; Birmingham will back down; Sheffield

Utd should give up money to West Ham; Rafa and getting closer to the title and

his needs; Kaka could be for sale; City are a Massive club now they have the money.

LAST

week we saw the difference between how the game should be played, and what happens

in the real world. Barcelona, a team which commits to attack, were suffocated

by Chelsea, a team which is dedicated to power (just like its owner). For the

good of the game I hope that the Spaniards come out on top on Wednesday.

OUR SHOUT: I know where you're coming from

Alan but, as Chelsea reminded us again at the weekend, when they come out to play

there's much more to them than raw power. So here's hoping for an open, entertaining

game tomorrow night and may the best team win.

The rest of today's column

appears in the Irish Examiner and will appear here tomorrow.
