Today, and every Tuesday, he will be acting as referee on your opinions on the Premiership. Let him know what you think and he’ll argue the toss with you. We’ll be offering a free sports prize to the star contribution each week.
This week Cueto’s disallowed try; Soccer hairstyles; Liverpool diets; Will Hackett phone Moyes; Ref justice for Pool; Whining Scousers; Reo-Coker nasty piece of work; Arsenal flatter to deceive; Arsenal, Utd and Pool must play at the Bridge; Abramovich’s master plan.
I HOPE all those supporters of the use of video technology in the Premier League take a close look at Cueto's disallowed try in the World Cup Final of that other game on Saturday night. All that high-tech equipment and the neutral video judge still got the decision wrong. Human fallibility is what makes sport the great talking point that it is. I could just about accept some kind of gizmo which sent a confirmatory noise when the ball crosses the line, but all other attempts at interference should be firmly resisted.
We held this letter up to the light, exposed it to heat to flush out any invisible ink, read it upside down and back to front, and finally sent it to the lab for further analysis. And, guess what, Cork Blue? The rugger video ref was right and you are wrong. Red card.
