There’s nothing like a good Roy Keane controversy to get contributors reaching for their pens and email clients and this week the Examiner’s football correspondent Liam Mackey arbitrates on the latest theory from His Corkness that Liam Miller can’t get a game for Ireland because he hails from the Rebel County.

There’s comment on the current hubbub at Stamford Bridge over the banning of celery as an offensive weapon and speculation over just why Neil Warnock of Sheffield United is known as Colin among opposing fans. Liam gives his views on the cricket renaissance in Ireland and the barmy notion that all draws should be settled by penalties.
