As Liverpool dismantled Chelsea’s billion-pound chain gang at Anfield last Wednesday night, it was easy to believe in happily ever after for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

This was a performance — in the first half especially — as convincing as anything seen since Klopp first arrived at the club.
