Ruby Walsh: The value is elsewhere in the Bambino v Oldschool novice duel

DUEL: Oldschool Outlaw and Jack Kennedy (right) win for trainer Gordon Elliott from Bambino Fever in Naas. Pic: Healy Racing.

Today's opener (1.20pm) is another novice hurdle, this one confined to fillies and mares, that looks a match on paper between last year's Cheltenham bumper heroine Bambino Fever and her Naas maiden hurdle conqueror Oldschool Outlaw.

Both mares have been to the track and won since their Naas clash, and both look to have improved plenty as well. Course form points to Bambino, but these two mares take up a fair chunk of the market, and value can be found elsewhere.
