For all the county finals I’ve been involved in and attended over the years, yesterday threw up a bit of a new one.
Walking into Páirc Uí Chaoimh, I heard all these Garda sirens wailing in the distance, prompting me to ask my friend Pat beside me what could all the commotion be. He told me it was probably the St Finbarr’s team bus being accompanied by a Garda escort, and a minute later we saw for ourselves that his hunch was right.
