FDC Group supporting future generations with Biodiversity in Schools sponsorship

In 2025, FDC partnered with Biodiversity in Schools to sponsor schools across Ireland. FDC is deeply committed to making a positive contribution to the communities in which it operates.
This commitment extends to supporting its employees and giving back to the communities where staff and their families live, fostering stronger, more connected and sustainable communities.
With over 580 employees and 53 offices across Ireland, FDC serves more than 35,000 clients nationwide, boasting a diverse client base that includes farmers, SMEs, family businesses, commercial agribusinesses, self-employed professionals and contractors.
FDC offers a full suite of services, with its strengths spanning Accounting, Tax and Legal, Financial Services, Agri Consultancy, Management Accounting, Advisory, Banking, Audit and Corporate Training.
FDC offered all employees the chance to nominate a school to receive support and learning materials from Biodiversity in Schools. Employees across the organisation readily engaged with the initiative, with 76 schools nominated across the widespread FDC network. Of the 76 nominated, 13 schools were drawn at random, representative of FDC’s strong Munster presence with reach extending and growing across the other provinces.
Each school received complete 12-month biodiversity support, including materials, training, and learning resources.

- Tree/ hedgerow autumn planting kit (enrolment in Coill na Óg).
- Outdoor wildlife signs kit & supporting resources.
- Access to online resources, training events and help to achieve the Nature Hero Award.
Laura Lane, who nominated St Catherine’s National School, spoke of the partnership, saying: “It was wonderful to see how the teachers make sure each child gets to see plants and vegetables grow. Also, many items were planted years ago when I was there, and they are still growing and thriving. It lets the pupils see how much work goes into a garden and gives them some responsibility for looking out for the plants and the many creatures who make their home there.”
