FDC Group has been supporting GAA at a local level for decades. Now, the organisation has brought that to a national stage.
FDC is proud to announce its sponsorship of Score BEO, Ireland’s No1 sports app. As part of this sponsorship, FDC Group has been featured across the Hurling Championship, connecting with communities right across the country during one of the biggest moments in the GAA calendar. This has presented an incredibly unique opportunity for FDC to show up where it matters most and reflect what the Group has always been about, strong local connections and community.
With over 550 employees and 53 offices across Ireland, FDC is dedicated to securing futures through cooperative values and innovation. Today, the Group serves more than 35,000 clients nationwide, boasting a diverse client base of farmers, SMEs, family businesses, commercial agribusinesses, self-employed professionals and contractors.
Over the years, from camogie to hurling, whether a pitch-side sponsorship or a jersey, coaching or just simply showing up, FDC is integrated into the GAA in every community where its people are.
Tim Hurley, regional manager of the Western Region of the Group acknowledged the intrinsic interconnectivity between the organisation and the GAA, says: “The club roots people in the community, in the parish. This is what FDC is all about. It’s small actions built up over time, through every stage of life, integrated into the community. We’re always there to go the journey. Whether it’s sponsoring jerseys and water bottles, or coaching camogie on a Monday night, here at FDC, we build communities, from 9-5 and 5-9.”
One constant exists within all FDC employees. They care about their community. They choose to be a part of an organisation that not only facilitates this value, but furthers and supports local initiatives to create better, happier, more connected lives.
Many FDC employees have been involved with the GAA for decades. Like Mick McCormack, business development director with FDC Financial Services Ltd, whose career commencement in FDC ran parallel with his GAA playing days, who says: “Whilst retired from playing, I remain involved in the coaching side of the games, a trajectory common amongst a lot of FDC employees.

"The ethos and culture of the GAA is mirrored in the standards FDC maintains of staff and the approach we take in our dealings with our clients, creating a welcoming and positive environment for all. Over the years, the standard ice breaker, has involved a discussion and debrief about the previous weeks or weekend’s GAA happenings. This common ground and shared affinity has helped me form a strong bond with my clients in FDC Financial Services Limited and serves the wider Group in each of our rural localities.”
The leadership teams of both organisations have found the partnership incredibly fruitful.
Fergus Grimes, founder of Score BEO, remarks: “We’re delighted to partner with FDC as we continue to grow Score Beo and bring engaging sports content to our audience. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to community, ambition and supporting the future of sport and media.”
Barry Murphy, CEO of FDC Group, acknowledged the importance of the union, saying: "The sponsorship of Score BEO for the 2026 Hurling Championship has demonstrated FDC's commitment to supporting communities across Ireland. It has engaged our employees across our 53-office network, allowing them the opportunity to showcase their support while interacting with their colleagues; ultimately developing the interconnectivity of our 550 staff and strengthening our community ethos. This is what FDC is about."
