Online project highlights best in Cork crafts 

The country's largest social network for craftspeople, which is based in Co Cork, has just launched an online celebration of what some of its most talented members' creations.

Cork Craft & Design decided to launch it ahead of Cork Craft Month in August. It contains a series of videos of the work produced by well-known woodturner, John McCarthy; glass artist Maura Whelan; basket maker Rosemary Kavanagh; jeweller Mairead McCorley of Silverstone Dimensions; ceramic artist Jim Turner; architectural illustrator Jill Cotter; award-winning textile artist Mary Palmer; and ceramicist Charlie Mahon.
