THE Saleens man behind the expansion of Ladysbridge is onto his fourth housing scheme in the East Cork village and it shows the usual commitment to energy-efficiency.

Willie Savage, of Chriselle Holdings, has just delivered the latest eight homes in what will be a 30-unit scheme at Ardchríocha, a short walk from Ladysbridge, and close to his other developments, at Dealg Bán, Lios na mBan, and Páirc an Chosáin.

The first phase sold at the start of the year, and eight more have just been released, at the fixed price of €480,000. 

Two of the four-bed, 1,500sq ft semi-ds sold immediately, so there’s half a dozen up for grabs, says Kyle Kennedy, of Kennedy Estate Agents.

“Each has an impressive A2 BER, air-to-water heating, and superior insulation,” the agent says. Buyers should enjoy lower running costs.

 Overlooking fields of sheep, the homes are light-filled and have south-facing rear patios.

 As they are new homes, house-hunters can avail of the Help-to-Buy Scheme, offering eligible first-time buyers €30,000 off the sale price. The properties come with bathrooms fitted, but not the kitchen, for which an allowance of €6,000 is included in the price.

 Full fit-out is available at a further cost.

The East Cork lifestyle includes Garryvoe Beach, a five-minute drive away, while access to Ladysbridge Loop, a walk that links with Castlemartyr Resort, is across the road.

The village itself has the essentials, as well as the popular Carewswood Garden Centre & Cafe. National schools are in Castlemartyr and Kilcredan.

The showhouse, (interior featured here, prepped by AK Interiors in Midleton) is fully finished, but the other homes will require flooring and painting.

Mr Savage got planning permission this week for another 10 homes in Ardchríocha, all detached.
