Listing No 2 Strand View in Allihies with a guide of €325,000, Olivia Hanafin of Sherry FitzGerald O’Neill says when she sold the house next door last year, it attracted interest from both retirees and holiday home buyers, including a few overseas one. Now she is expecting similar interest in this one.
Part of a development of four semi- detached houses built in 2006, it has a basement which you can’t see from the front and a balcony. “From here you have views across countryside to Ballydonegan Beach and the Skellig islands in the distance,’’ reveals Ms Hanafin.

Formerly a holiday rental, it’s a well maintained 100 sq metre house with a C1 BER. Downstairs it has a sitting room with a fireplace, a guest WC and a kitchen/diner with fitted units. Upstairs it has a bathroom and three bedrooms including an en suite.
On street at the front, it has a railed balcony outside the kitchen and a covered patio underneath it. Situated close to the centre of the tiny village, it’s a little over a km from Ballydonegan beach.
Sales in Allihies are quite rare and, at present, just four properties are advertised for sale. Last year the Property Price Register recorded just four sales including that of the house next door, No 1, which sold for €292,000 in July.
It could make one start thinking about holidays.

First time buyers should appreciate the fact that this end of terrace three bed house at 50 Hazel Brooke, Spa Glen in Mallow is ready to go.

Listing it with a guide of €275,000, Michael O’Donovan of Sherry FitzGerald O’Donovan says the 2007 built property had just been upgraded when the current owners bought it a little over a year ago.
“ The previous owners had put a good quality kitchen with quartz worktops and also redecorated and renovated. It’s turn key and spacious with 127 sq metres of accommodation ’’ he adds.
Rooms at ground level include a timber floored sitting room with a fireplace, a small utility space, a guest WC and a modern tiled kitchen/diner room with grey shaker style units and sliding patio doors opening into the garden.

The upstairs has a bathroom and three timber floored bedrooms including one en suite. Fitted with gas central heating, the house has a B3 BER.
Overlooking a small central green area at the front, the property has both a paved parking area and a lawned back garden with a raised patio enclosed by a low wall.
It’s one of nine houses ( three terraces of three) situated a circular cul de sac within the Hazel Brooke estate. Located a little less than three km from Mallow town centre, it’s little over three km from Mallow train station.

The Property Price Register shows the property selling for €280,000 in April last year. In July last year No 53 – the other end of terrace property in its row – sold for €295,000
Attractive, well maintained and affordable – it shouldn’t prove hard to sell.

Although 57 Derrynane Road in Turners Cross is in need of complete renovation, the three-bed mid terrace house is well located and has good potential.

That’s according to John Moynihan of Sherry FitzGerald who is seeking offers of €210,000 for the 1950s built 82 sq metre house “ Located close to amenities in Turners Cross, it’s within walking distance of the city centre and is also within a short drive from the south Link Road network,’’ he says.
Accommodation includes a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a WC as well as three bedrooms and bathroom.
Needs work but will attract interest because of its location.
