Glenville Flower and Garden Club will resume on Tuesday, September 30, with a cookery demonstration by Johann Doorley, demonstrator with Brennan’s Cookshop in Kades Kounty at 8.30pm. Everyone welcome.

Castlelyons Home and Garden Club’s next meeting will be held on October 16 and features a talk and illustration on the habits of birds. The Christmas Gala takes place on November 7 and demonstrators will be Carmel Barry and Fiona Turley.

Killavullen Farmers’ Market Annual Harvest Fair takes place on Saturday, September 27, at the Nano Nagle Centre, Killavullen, Mallow. www.killavullenfarmersmarket.com

An ‘Invasive Plant Species Workshop’ will be held on October 1 by the Irish Wildlife Trust and IRD Duhallow Life Project. The workshop, which costs €4 and includes a light lunch, will be held at the James O’Keefe Institute in Newmarket at 10.30am and is expected to finish at 3pm. A ceramic bird box exhibition and sale in support of Sophia Housing will take place at the Pavilion, Fitzgerald’s Park on Friday, October 3, and will be opened by Lord Mayor Cllr Mary Shields at 4pm. The bird boxes were made by adult learners from Sophia Housing, Cork, arising out of a series of ceramic workshops led by artist, Martha Cashman.
