There’s no doubt that some of the best duvet days you can have are in a bed dressed in Amurelle bed linen. Designed in Ireland and made in Portugal this premium bed linen is so soft and comfortable you may seriously struggle to get out of bed.

With new designs online now, you can update your existing sets or treat yourself to something new entirely — these new Breeze linen ruffle pillowcase pairs are a treat at €95 per set.
Made from 100% French flax linen and available with a range of trim colours, including blue and forest green, they are very smart indeed. See amurelle.com.

Award-winning garden designer Leonie Cornelius is launching an exciting "designed border" series next month for people who want to create unique and vibrant combinations of flowers in their garden but don't require a full garden design service.

The first in the series is a stunning jewel-toned spring bulb mix which includes a digital downloadable plan, planting guide, maintenance and tips for creating a designer effect in your garden and more. You can plant up the design from September to December.

British fashion designer-turned-ceramicist Henry Holland discovered his love of ceramics during the pandemic, delving into the Japanese technique of Nerikomi.
His new business has quickly become known for its range of beautiful tableware and homeware inspired by this organic layered technique of production.

Holland has now teamed up with Harlequin on a collection of printed and woven fabrics and wallcoverings which play with his aesthetic as well as with scale and colour. It's available online and from Brian S Nolan Interiors in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. See harlequin.sandersondesigngroup.com.

The founder of Dollybirds Art, Eimear Maguire says she was somewhat taken aback by the success of her Serrated Wrack print when she visited the acclaimed NY Now trade fair in New York recently — but then she did see the very same seaweed in the East River emphasising the shared Atlantic shores of Ireland and the US. Inspired by the waters off the Donegal coast, the show-stopping print was hand-painted in gouache and then printed in Maguire’s Belfast studio on premium fine art paper. An A3 print is €60, see dollybirdsart.com.

Speaking of seaweed, did you know that Co Sligo brand Voya, renowned for its use of Atlantic seaweed, not only makes excellent skincare products but also scents for the home? Designed to create a luxurious spa-like vibe at home, the range of diffusers (100ml €56), candles (20cl €36) and room sprays (100ml €32) includes scents including African Lime & Clove, Coconut & Jasmine and Eucalyptus, Rosemary & Lime. Do you want to add some colour to your home with contemporary art? From today until September 28, you can find the work of Wexford artist Mary O’Connor at SO Fine Art Editions. O’Connor’s work is characterised by her bold abstract designs and strong colour palette with paintings, screen prints, large-scale murals and now sculpture part of her repertoire.
Inspired by migration and her own moves from continent to continent, the pieces in this exhibition, TEN, are a personal reflection on O’Connor’s time back in Ireland for the past ten years. Prices start at around €330 for a silk screen print and around €365 for a painting on a panel such as the piece pictured — small block colour 1, painting on Birch plywood, Unique. See sofinearteditions.com.

The IrelandsEye’s new Haven knitwear collection already has us embracing the idea of colder days with pieces that can be layered day or night for comfort and relaxation. Why not add another layer to the cosy with its oversized blankets and pillows too — the Wren is a two-tone intarsia style (€194.95), and the Mockingbird is a textured rib in a choice of three shades (€179.95).
Meanwhile, its Havilah large square pillow comes in a full spectrum of contemporary and classic colours (€84.95). See irelandseyeknitwear.com.
