Antiques: A cabinet and a dollhouse at Cork auctions

Sales at both Woodwards in Cork city and Lynes and Lynes in Carrigtwohill next Saturday (April 20) and at Marshs in Cork city on April 27 will offer collectors a wide array of local choices. Woodwards will offer tremendous value in antique furniture. Estimates are realistic for lots like an Edwardian walnut floor bookcase (€300-€500), a Victorian bowfront chest of drawers (€400-€600), a Georgian lowboy (€300-€400), a twin pillar dining table (€400-€600), a Georgian serpentine sideboard (€500-€1,000), an Edwardian display cabinet (€300-€400) and a pair of Victorian hall chairs (€200-€300). 

There will be rugs, paintings, prints and Waterford Crystal. The sale, which gets underway at 10am, is on view from today and the catalogue is online.
