ITS SLICK transformation over a quarter of a century has earned the designer behind the masterplan the highest personal award presented to an architect in Ireland.

Rupert Maddock of Waterford City and Council emerged from behind the drawing board to accept the Gandon Medal for Lifetime Achievement 2023 on Thursday.
