Under the hammer: Your guide to what's on
ART EVENT
The sale of Irish and International art by Whyte’s goes on view at the RDS in Dublin today.
The event features work by some of the most celebrated Irish artists including Jack B Yeats, le Brocquy, Paul Henry, Tony O’Malley, Barrie Cooke, Nathanial Hone and Donald Teskey as well as many more.
There will also be a selection of American artists from the defunct Anglo Irish Bank collection.
Also available is a print from a box set by Banksy and Mastiff from the renowned Polish artist Tadeusz Brzozowski (1918-1987).
The sale will take place is at 6pm on Monday.

ANTIQUES FAIRS
There will be antiques fairs in Clare and Dublin tomorrow. Hibernian Antique Fairs will be at the Inn at Dromoland, Co Clare, and there will be an antiques, vintage and collectibles fair at the Marine Hotel in Sutton, Dublin.
NEW GUIDE
A comprehensive and easy-to-use guide to architectural riches of Cork City and County will be published by Yale University Press, London on March 10. Written by architectural history Frank Keohane it is part the series founded by Nikolaus Pevsner in 1951.
It features atmospheric castles and tower houses, Irish Georgian architecture, Viking and Norman foundations in coastal towns like Kinsale and Youghal and structures of the Stuart, Hanoverian and Victorian periods.
PRICES FETCHED
The pair of cast-iron garden benches featured on these pages last Saturday sold for a hammer price of €2,500 at Woodwards in Cork.
