Interiors wish list...

If you’re all at sea about a theme for your interior look this summer, head for Aldi which has some great ‘Coastal Look’ accessories coming into stores next Thursday, June 15.

Interiors wish list...

Think simple and natural and a palette of soft blue, crisp white and cool cream. A couple of well placed nautical motifs and shiver me timbers, you’re all sorted. Accessories start from €4.99.

My favourite from the pieces that are going to land on Thursday is this rope wall clock, (above). It’s got a metal case and mineral glass and the €8.99 price tag includes batteries. There’s four different designs to choose from.

This cute koala cushion is from Abigail Ahern’s collection in Debenhams. It’s a great way to add a bit of kooky character to a room. €67.50 in stores nationwide and online.

Add style to afternoon tea at home with the wonderful new addition to Wedgwood’s Wonderlust Collection, throw on a bit of Downton Abbey in the background to set the scene. Pieces start at €35 from Brown Thomas.

There’s nothing like outdoor dining to get the summer vibe going. Flying Tiger Copenhagen has lots of affordable picnic bits and pieces, the usual napkins and baskets and whatnot, but what caught my eye was this bubble-making machine. What a fun addition for a picnic for the kids.

It’s €20 in shops now and online at https://ie.flyingtiger.com/

This is an interesting piece to add to your kid’s bedroom — and they might even learn something without realising. Education by interior design, I like it. You can learn to say hello in another country’s language with this scratch map.

Peel off the foil for every country you’ve visited – or plan to visit — and learn all the different ways you can greet people in their native tongue. This is from Animi Causa.

www.animicausa.com for €35.60.

Get ready to tune into a rather fancy kitchen appliance. This is De Dietrich’s Piano Hob, a zoneless induction hob with intelligent and intuitive options to make life easier when cooking.

It’s kind of intimidating when your cooker is smarter than you. The Piano incorporates full colour touchscreen technology to control the hob and has lots of other bells and whistles. It looks cool too, right? It’s available from the KAL Advisory Centre, €5,999

We are loving this Caitlin console table, what a gorgeous design, it’s available at Corcoran’s Furniture and Carpets, a family-run business with stores in Killarney, Tralee, Cahersiveen and Newcastle West.

This table is €289 and it’s available at the moment in the Tralee and Killarney stores but it can be ordered from the other stores too.
