Perennials that have finished for one more year will need to be cut back and cleaned up. If they have died back already, then you can lift them now, divide them and replant.

Tubers, corms and bulbs of dahlias (pictured above), lillies and begonias can be lifted as soon as the foliage and flowers have died off.
