This week's job around the garden - Mallow Home and Garden Show

Mallow Home and Garden Show has been nearly 20 years growing and has now firmly established itself as the top exhibition in the south of Ireland for gardening and garden- related industries.

Attracting over 60,000 visitors each year it has become an annual date for the dairy for garden visitors all over the country.

For those in the industry it is the top showcase event in which to show off your talents and meet prospective clients and to that end they have this year put out a call for new designers who want the opportunity to design a garden at Mallow to get in contact.

To the best of my knowledge it is the only show in Ireland that has permanent display gardens.

This is a great feature of the show as they mature and change each year and give the visitor an idea of how certain plants and features will look in maturity.

Happening this year on May 27 to 29, at the end of the week of RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the whole country will be garden-mad.
