My longing, however, to introduce the yummy and very in-vogue copper and blush look was foiled by the dictates of feng shui, which necessitates whites and cooler metals in this particular part of the house.

So weeks later and what I exaggeratedly called a mood board (but was really squares of white paint cut from colour charts, and pictures of milky rooms with chrome lamps all stuffed into a used envelope), the room just paled my mood board into a sulk.
