* Make and Take wedding flowers for DIY brides is a half-day workshop on April 2, 1.30-6.30pm.

Another option is the Church/Venue flowers bootcamp on April 9 1.30-6.30pm. They take place at Carrigaline Community School €30 each or both for €50. Contact Maree 087-2397289. Places limited.

* The Irish Garden Plant Society will meet on Tuesday, April 1, in the SMA Hall, Wilton, Cork at 8pm. Bruno Nicolai will give an illustrated talk: “Exotic Escapism”, taking you on a journey from desert to jungle, and sharing with you some of his favourite plants growing in his Cork City garden.
