¦ Killavullen Farmers’ Market will take place today from 10.30 until 1pm and also on Sat, Dec 21, from 5.30pm until 8pm. The night market has a very special place in the heart of the community, according to organiser, Rosaleen O’Leary and this year the local choir from Killavullen will sing carols and the market tunnel will be lit by fairy lights for friends to catch up over a cup of fairtrade coffee.
Stallholders will lay out their wares and local producers will supply organic vegetables, award-winning cheeses, raw milk and homemade butter, jams, chutneys as well as toiletries with natural essential oils and handmade soaps.
Raw food products, plants and flowers, pretty hand knitting, fairtrade tea and coffee, pizzas made at the cob oven, eco-friendly cleaning products and fair trade products are all to be had, and there will be a charity second hand book sale too.
So put on the red hat and join the gang at the Christmas market at Killavullen this year. Check it out on Facebook or www.kilavullenfarmersmarket.com.
