Gifted

Thinking about last-minute Christmas gifts brought back the memory of receiving a boxed gift one year containing a mini-hot water bottle that was too small to use.

It was accompanied by four chocolates and a packet of unbranded chocolate powder.

Currently, I’m undecided whether this, or the box of toiletries I received another year with torn cellophane and one of the items removed, was the lowest point in my gift-receiving history.
