Beauty shines on

Callicarpa berries make a charming but dramatic change from the more usual holly and ivy.

There’s a short period every year when I’m not at all pleased with aspects of the garden. That period is late November through to the opening days of December.

Everything seems to suffer from the post-autumn blues; post-Aster and Rudbeckia, post-Nerine and Aconitum.
