Autumn brings a new beginning

As the abundant growth of summer fades, autumn harvests ring plentiful, stores gradually fill and naturally this leads to empty garden beds.

Nevertheless, autumn does not cry ‘curtains down’ on the vegetable patch, but instead should be viewed more like the beginning of next year’s growing season.

Resist the temptation to abandon those hard worked beds whose glory has fled and whose nutrients have been depleted. Instead take the correct procedures in putting your beloved beds to bed.
