All good at Marwood, where No 9's all done up to the nines

Now likely to be coming up on its 20th birthday is the four-bed, detached family home, no 9 Marwood Lawn, on the edge of Cork City’s Glanmire.
The scheme was built in the early 2000s, with a mix of three- and four-bed homes, detached and semi-detached, and no 9 was one of the larger types then.
Over the two decades since, individual owners have extended their houses, to the back and at the side, or converted the attic, so now there’s a very broad mix of sizes.

The detached no 9 The Lawn has been launched to market this week for €360,000, and is well-presented, with a good-sized, enclosed back garden, complete with large patio and barbecue area, all accessible via sliding doors from a rear reception room.
Selling agents Sherry FitzGerald calculate the floor area at 124 sq m -1,335 sq ft-, and it appears to be still in its original floor-plan layout, not having been extended. (The neighbours either side have extended, showing future options here, too?).
One of no 9’s four bedrooms has an en suite bathroom, plus there’s a ground-floor guest WC and utility.

No 9 follows no 36 Marwood Lawn, a semi-d, which went on the market earlier this year, listed by Lisney for €310,000 and with c1,237 sq ft of accommodation;semi-d no 34, sold this month last year, at €287,250, having been launched at €265,000.
Sherry FitzGerald’s Gillian McDonnell says detached no 9 is well-kept, and in good decorative order, with two reception rooms, one with bay window and a fireplace. The kitchen/diner is bright, with a dual aspect.
For storage, there’s a garden shed, and a Stira access to a part-floored attic.

The generous-sized back garden has a southerly aspect, while, to the front, the brick- and dash-faced no 9 has lawns and boundary planting either side of a central, paved drive for off-street parking.
It faces a green, and is in a cul de sac within Marwood, which was developed by O’Flynn Construction, who are back building afresh in Glanmire’s Ballinglanna. They will deliver c 600 new homes and improved road infrastructure, over the next number of years.
