Savills' Bright Buyers gets full house to get low down on buying home

There was a full house of

aspiring house hunters and would-be home buyers at last week’s Savills Bright Buyers event in Cork.

Over 120 attended the free, but ticketed, event in the River Lee Hotel, the second such panel discussion and mini-property expo run by the national

property agency: the attendance included investors, first- time buyers, as well as those looking to trade up, or trade down. Angela Keegan,

and speaker; among the

contributors was researcher John McCarthy for Savills, giving an overview of the property market in Cork. Broadcaster

Sinead Ryan, presenter of The Home Show on Newstalk,

addressed mortgage and

finance issues.

Another media figure, RTÉ’s Home of the Year presenter and judge, Deirdre Whelan who is co-lead of the Interior Design Studio at Scott Tallon Walker architects gave insights on how to put a unique stamp on newly-acquired homes.
