Changes are finally afoot over the back wall of 13 Rathmore Lawn, a pretty ‘standard issue’ three-bed semi-d, built in the mid-1900s and which has, ever since it was first built, had acres of farmland alongside and an ancient cobbled courtyard and stabling to its rear.

However the seven-acre land parcel, used for growing cereal crops into the 21st century in the heart of suburban Douglas and owned by the Whitaker family of Johnson & Perrott motoring fame, went up for sale in late 2018, with a second round of offers from keen-eyed local and national developers expected via Savills in coming weeks.
