Plunkett Street rental in Killarney can take advantage of high footfall

Killarney regularly ranks among a handful of the most popular tourist towns across the country. Commercial retail is all about footfall.

Because of the huge amount of it Killarney promises, and generally delivers, the town has long been attractive for retail commercial premises.

Killarney’s Plunkett Street links the town’s Main Street with College Square and the Glebe Car Park. It has recently been upgraded to include more modern and wider footpaths.

The street is also now pedestrianised in the evenings.

Killarney auctioneer and much-decorated former footballer, Tom Spillane, is handling a rental on the street, just yards from the four-star Killarney Towers hotel.

Sited adjacent to the taxi rank, the building sits between Reen’s Pharmacy and Miss Darcy’s fashion store, straight across from the Dunloe Lodge bar.

It is on a busy retail thoroughfare with no other vacancies, so there is likely to be demand.

Mr Spillane says the property would suit a range of purposes as it is surrounded by the full gamut of retail offerings from banks to pubs.

It is a ground floor retail unit covering around 850 sq ft (approx 80 sq m).

Mr Spillane says that it is well presented with a tiled floor and suspended ceiling. He expects it to achieve a rent in the region of €30,000 per annum.
