Facebook lodges planning documents for Capitol building

Facebook has lodged planning documents to facilitate its use of The Capitol offices development in the centre of Cork city.

The application submitted last week to the city council proposes a fixed awning with a retractable roof to the north terrace at level 3.

The global social media firm is tenant in two top floor office areas of the block developed by John Cleary. The site covers the footprint of the old Capitol cinema on Grand Parade, and back to Market Avenue and St Patrick’s Street.
