High five for high class at exclusive gated development in Curraheen

Set to officially launch in September is the niche, corner scheme of five newly-built, three-storey homes called Mulberry Lane, at the junction of the Curraheen Road and Curraheen Lawn, west of Bishopstown.

Set on a corner site opposite Halldene, near the University Technology Park and the access point to the Ballincollig bypass, the development is being delivered by Better Built Homes, a North Cork-based building firm headed up by Daniel Finnegan. Better Built Homes have a strong record in one-off builds, extensions and some commercial construction projects but this is their first independent foray into the city.

The five crisply-designed detached houses, with scope for up to five bedrooms, or with an optional first floor living room, are being offered in three slightly different layouts, with the two largest being on the outside. Sizes span 1,786 sq ft to 1,820 sq ft, and each design has two top floor en suite bedrooms, with ground floor kitchen/dining, sitting room and guest WC.

Selling agents for the A-rated Mulberry Lane homes will be Sherry FitzGerald, who have started registering inquiries just now on the dedicated website www.mulberrylane.ie — ahead of the formal launch. Prices are likely to be pitched around €500,000.

Set by a bus stop, the new-builds have compact front gardens facing south towards Curraheen Road, and car access is from the side, by gated control from Curraheen Lawn, where there’s two spaces per home. Rear gardens average 23’ wide and vary from 25’ to 45’ in length. The developers promise ‘sophisticated finishes’, with PC sums for kitchens. There’s triple glazing, and air to water geothermal heating.
