THIS amazing octagonal house at Coomhola Valley in West Cork seems a little like a real version of the toadstool houses that children read about in fairy tales.

It’s not just the shape, which comes close to being circular, that gives this impression but also the fact that all the windows and doors are arched just like the ones you see in the story books.
