Trading Up: Midleton, Cork, €225,000

There’s been a swift uptake, and an early offer too, on the arrival for sale of 16, Orchard Avenue, an end-of-the-line three-bed semi in Midleton’s popular Castleredmond development out by Ballinacurra.

The very well kept family home is bright, has an open green area over the side wall, and there’s plenty of garden side and back for extending, says estate agent Fiona Waldron, of Jeremy Murphy Associates.

Ms Waldron guides at €225,000, and interest primarily so far is local, from the town and from Cloyne: at least one viewer was a disappointed underbidder on another recent sale in the development, where agent James Colbert went sale agreed on a Castleredmond semi-d, with an attic conversion, at €253,000.
