Control House in Shanbally is perfectly positioned

Timing, they say, is everything — and, the timing looks right for the proposed sale of a corporate HQ-type property by Cork’s evolving harbour and port facility near Ringaskiddy.
Control House in Shanbally is perfectly positioned

Newly listed this week for sale is Control House in Shanbally, close to the new, set-to-expand Port of Cork facility and landbank, on the N28 — a major arterial route.

Control House has been the HQ for several decades of the Gilroy Group.

Their very adaptable 1980-built Shanbally building, on an acre, is now up for sale with agent Rob Coughlan and Malcolm Tyrrell of Cohalan Downing, who say the interior quality is quite exceptional, having been significantly upgraded in the past decade: it’s ready for immediate occupation, in turn-key condition.

Location is in the heart of Shanbally, on the current N28 Ringaskiddy corridor two kms from the new Port of Cork expansion site, 11 kms from the airport and 15km from the city centre.

Guiding at €650,000, Cohalan Downing say it has easy access and on-site car parking, with space for expansion.

The building includes reception in cut stone and marble with overhead glazing, boardroom and client consultation room, along with open plan and cellular offices over two floors, staff canteen and breakout areas, labs, stores and 2,255 sq ft warehouse/workshop with 2,10 sq ft mezzanine.

It has gas central heating, air conditioning, CCTV, and there’s a further, external stores building.
