57 acres for sale near M8 motorway north of Cashel

Located about 10km north of Cashel and close to the main Dublin-Cork M8 motorway, a sizeable 57-acre holding in the townland of Gaile is getting plenty of attention and is already under offer, according to selling agent Nick Maher of Cashel-based Maher Auctioneers.

“The land is the best quality limestone land,” says Nick, “It’s a few kilometres from Killough Quarry, which is a huge limestone quarry, and the land is all in permanent pasture and has a good mains water supply.

“There’s an extensive range of outbuildings there too, including a five-span shed, silage walls, and indoor cattle-handling facilities.”

Access is also good to this property, which has about seven or eight divisions, and whose extensive road frontage lends it to further subdivision, according to the agent.

The land doesn’t come with entitlements.

The price is being kept discreetly under the hat of the agents and vendors for the moment, but for anyone interested, it might be worth bearing in mind that a 42-acre farm of similar land quality in the area was sold by the same agents last April for a price believed to be in the region of €12,300/acre.
