Carrigaline home is more than accommodating
JUST three or four years after it was first built, No 7 Dun Eoin Brook ‘went large’. What was initially back in 2003 a detached four-bed in this section of the popular Carrigaline development is now a five-bed home of substance and is a weighty-enough 1,900 sq ft.

And indeed, at that, it appears to have rooms almost to spare.
This detached home came to market in the past few weeks with agent Sean McCarthy of ERA Downey McCarthy.
He guides at €350,000, has it under offer by now at €325,000 and reckons “there’s a good bit more to go on it yet, it’s a fine home.”
Close-by, a more original four-bed semi-d at No ( Dun Eoin Brook came to market in early spring, guiding €295,000 with agent Dennehy Properties and is sale agreed, but is not yet on the Price Register, while the same register shows No 2 Dun Eoin Brook making €205,000 in early 2014, so clearly not all homes in Dun Eoin’s various sections and mixes are equal, or even remotely so.

Two of detached No 7’s five bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. As one is at ground level and the other is upstairs, it really is an accommodating home for all ages and stages of the family life cycle, from being able to host an au pair to coping with independent teenagers, or live-in older relatives.
Yet, having that ground floor en suite bedroom doesn’t eat into the space for day-time living, as other rooms include a birch-floored front sitting room with bay window, a formal dining room, and kitchen/casual dining room with sleek contemporary units, in grey painted oak and granite topped, plus island with composite top.

In addition, there’s a rear lounge, and a rear living room, each of which are birch floored (as is the hall,) and the rooms casually interlink rather than being separate entities.
Overhead, three of the four bedrooms are doubles, one’s en suite, and the family bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath. Decor levels are uniformly high throughout.
No 7 has a large, landscaped corner site, with off-street parking, a shed by its side garden, and back garden laid out in segments.

High-end dwelling.
